TikTok still tops the revenue list, 6.3 times higher than the same period last year. Although the Chinese short video sharing platform “TikTok” has recently faced attacks from the US government, according to data released by the market research agency Sensor Tower last month, TikTok still ranks first in the global app attracting power.
According to the Sensor Tower report, TikTok was the world’s highest-paid non-gaming application in August, with total revenue of over US$88.1 million in Apple and Google App Stores, which was 6.3 times its revenue in the same period last year. TikTok App has 85% of its revenue from China, while the United States and Turkey account for 7.8% and 1.4% of revenue respectively.
YouTube ranked second with total revenue of 83.9 million US dollars, an increase of 54.8% year-on-year. 55% of the income comes from the United States, while Japan accounts for 13%.
